An international commercial real estate finance company in looking for an entrepreneurial-minded valuation expert to help grow its valuation platform. The company delivers unprecedented CRE market and property data while accessing the best technology to produce superior quality reports and insight. This key Director will capture significant career-advancement potential with this opportunity as an early member of the financial reporting team. The position is ideal for someone with five+ years of valuation experience for both US GAAP and IFRS and will be focused on managing a team and clients servicing all levels of sophisticated investors, including private equity and institutional commercial real estate investors.

Responsibilites

  • Directly oversee the production and/or review of financial reporting valuation assignments in various markets for all asset types

  • Manage client contact from the proposal stage through client delivery and audit review

  • Coordinate procurement of all due-diligence materials

  • Train, manage, and review entry-level and experienced subordinate staff

  • Assist and direct subordinate staff throughout the engagement lifecycle

  • Additional responsibilities may include participating in thought leadership, business development and recruiting activities with senior leadership

Requirements

  • 5+ years of valuation experience, preferably at a Big 4 accounting firm or large advisory firm

  • Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field of study from an accredited college/university

  • State Certified Commercial Real Estate Appraiser preferred

  • Advanced Degree and or certification preferred (e.g., MAI, CFA, or CPA)

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute solutions to complex valuation issues

  • Ability to prepare real property valuations for financial reporting purposes from start to finish

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word

  • Ability to work within ARGUS Enterprise and DCF

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and internal team members

  • Detail-oriented

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Able to work well both autonomously as well as in a team environment

  • Experience training and managing personnel

  • Ability to show ownership of your work, take on challenges and acknowledge growth opportunities, and demonstrate patience when learning new processes

  • Courtesy, respect, and thoughtfulness in teaming with colleagues and other stakeholders
