A leading, international life science owner, investor, and developer is looking for an experienced Financial Reporting Manager for their team. The successful candidate will support the financial reporting team in preparing timely and accurate financial reports and statements.


  • Assist in the preparation, aggregation and review of the company’s internal and external monthly and quarterly reporting including internal management, board of director’s, lender and investor reports, primarily as it relates to the company’s financial performance.

  • Prepare external reporting, including audited GAAP financial statements and footnotes, for both subsidiary and consolidated requirements and coordinate with external auditors to provide audit and review support documentation.

  • Prepare deliverables required per various loan agreements, including lender-defined NOI calculations. Assist in ad hoc projects and reporting related to debt reporting and compliance. Become reliable point of contact for external lenders.

  • Maintain thorough technical knowledge and stay abreast of changes to GAAP rules. Write technical memos based on research and transactional information, as needed.

  • Prepare purchase price allocations and review disposition journal entries from the operating team, when applicable.

  • Assist in consolidation process including preparing quarterly GAAP financials for internal use. Analyze and explain changes in FS captions period over period.

  • Maintain accounting and financial reporting systems, including report writing and account mapping. Work with IT to customize the systems where necessary.

  • Provide other support on recurring or ad hoc projects, as needed.

  • Provide support for potential new investments through underwriting and market research activities.

  • Create PowerPoint presentations for the Board of Directors summarizing new investment opportunities.

  • Provide support during the due diligence period for potential investments including tracking and reviewing due diligence deliverables and supporting the closing process.

  • Track and analyze performance and activities of the company’s current tenants, including their financial results, capital raising activities, and strategic plans.

  • Perform industry related research.

  • Provide other support on recurring or ad hoc projects as needed


  • 2-3 years public accounting experience is preferred

  • BA/BS in accounting, finance, economics or related field required

  • Strong background in real estate industry, and/or lessor GAAP guidelines is preferred

  • Strong technical proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, Outlook and PowerPoint

  • Experience with MRI or BPC/SAP reporting system is a plus

  • Ability to use financial analysis and technical skills to prepare financial statements and operational reports for debt compliance

  • Excellent organizational skills, detail oriented, able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with multiple deadlines, and adapt readily to changing priorities

  • Ability to convey technical information in a clear and concise manner verbally and in written correspondence, reports and presentations

  • CPA or working toward a CPA preferred
